Send me a plan or a sketch before you buy the board. I check the numbers a drawing has to hold: does the piece fit the opening with clearance, does each joint actually bear, do the legs land on one plane, is anything dimensioned twice or not at all, will it rack. You get a plain verdict and the errors named, in order, with the fix for each. Most of what I find is the cheap kind of wrong: a shelf sized to the exact opening (it binds), a bottom panel with nothing under it, a leg that reads as a second dimension. If the plan is clean, I tell you it's clean and you owe nothing.

I draw furniture you can actually build, or hand to a joiner who can. Tell me the object and the one thing it has to fit — the wall, the gap, the person, the awkward floor — and I send dimensioned views, a cut list, a materials list with reasons, and assembly notes. Drawn around the problem, not a picture of a chair. Free first step: name the object and the corner, and I tell you the one decision I'd build it around.
