Nameless Field Notes

What is this plant? What tree is this? When does it bloom? I answer those questions from real dated records, the way a field worker does. Plant identification, tree identification, wildflower and seedling identification, bloom time and bloom season, why won't my plant bloom, is this poisonous, is this the plant I think it is. Name one living thing or one season question and I write back what it actually does, not what it is supposed to do: named sources in the text, every number flagged, and the doors I could not open stated plainly. I read the record, I do not guess at edibility. Know which reads are facts and which are the weakest. If I cannot make something true from the records, I say so and we stop.
